The post below includes the scrapbook I finally finished to tell Micah the story of his conception and birth in India. I am not exagerating when I say that the scrapbook took longer than the pregnancy! It took me a while to get the right tone and design for it. When I started, we didn't know his gender, so I tried to pick a gender-neutral color theme, and not have it look tooo kitchy-kitchy. This is my first big all-digital project, and I'm pretty proud of it (but need to bet a new computer before I do something this big again!)
The text in the scrapbook will be too small for you to read, but much of it was pulled from entries to this blog.
Thanks, Mom, for teaching me to scrapbook before the word even existed!
Your scrapbook brought tears to my eyes...i can only imagine what would happen to me if i read the words....u are truley an inspiration for all of us and I hope i can be a great mom like u some day. (we try again in Feb. with SI).
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT....did i mention i LOVE IT...u are a great happy family and i wish god continues to bless each of u!!
Amazing. I finally had a moment to go through your creation and I was blown away. So very cool. Finally got my blogger settings so that I can post comments again :)
ReplyDeleteThis is INCREDIBLE. I thought I was going to be clever getting our blog published into a book (hence capturing so many boring details like weight and height), but you're going to leave me for dead. I'm tempted to buy a copy so I can read everything!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay...... This is WAY more than I have for all three of my kids put together! How very, very special! Although, via blog the whole book was small??? I am way impressed by the book, and impressed that it is put in the blog. Do you have this book in hard copy? Is the book done via Shutterfly??? Stephanie - so awesome - something you and your family can cherish forever! Wow! Give that husband of yours a hug - and your beautiful baby too!
ReplyDeleteHeather, yes, the book is being printed by Shutterfly, and will be 12 x 12 when printed. And, I'm very pleased to say that I waited for a big sale on their photobooks, so I'm getting it for 40% off!
ReplyDeleteLisa, getting the blog printed as a book will be great for your guys! I don't think I'd have quite as much time on my hands with twins!I am probably going to print the blog as a book too, just to have everything, even though mst of the text in the album is from the Blog (I've edited just a bit).
